Cookies are small files a website places in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local and session storage, keep information on your device in much the same way. This policy covers both, and sits alongside our Privacy policy.
What we use
We keep this deliberately short. There is no advertising or cross-site tracking.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga, _ga_* | Analytics cookie (Google) | Counts visits and shows which pages are used, without identifying you by name. | Up to 2 years |
| __cf_bm and similar | Security cookie (Cloudflare) | Tells people from bots and protects the site from abuse. | Up to 30 minutes |
| autodock:page-rise | Session storage | Carries the page transition from one page to the next. | Cleared on arrival |
| autodock-theme | Local storage | Remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme, on your device only. | Until you clear it |
Essential and optional
Security cookies and the storage used for page transitions are needed for the site to work safely and as designed, so they are always on. Analytics cookies are optional: they help us improve the site, and the site works the same without them.
Your choices
You can control cookies in several ways:
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Most browsers also offer a private mode.
- Opt out of Google Analytics on every site with Google's browser add-on.
- Turn on Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track in your browser.
Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
Changes
If we add a new cookie or tool, we will list it here and update the date at the top of this page.
